Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders recently sat down with Run The Jewels rapper Killer Mike to discuss a plethora of issues facing Americans in 2015.
Killer Mike gave a brief speech and introduced Sanders at a Nov. 23 rally in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. For the one-on-one interview, the pair met at The Swag Shop, an Atlanta barbershop owned by Killer Mike.
What followed was a conversation about the state of politics, the economy and America as a whole.
The conversation was a seeming mending of racial tensions that surfaced earlier in Sanders' political campaign as he toured the Northwest. During an August speech in Seattle, members of the Black Lives Matter movement preempted a speech by Sanders, and protesters marched outside a Sanders rally at Portland's Moda Center that drew a massive crowd.
