Beisley was convicted of robbing several Oregon banks and sentenced in 2015 to six years in prison. The U.S. Marshal’s Service said he was transferred last month to a halfway house. When he did not report back there after going out, a judge issued a federal warrant for Beisley's arrest.

Police responded to a call Friday night about a man yelling at employees at the Starbucks attached to the Hollywood District Fred Meyer.

Police initially said the 34-year-old was shot after he displayed a firearm. They now say it was a replica.

Four police officers who fired on Beisley remain on paid administrative leave.
