“Fever Breaks” is the 10th album from Josh Ritter, the Idaho-born songwriter whose music has chronicled his life’s ups and downs — including new love and later divorce — with a winsome honesty and weary but persistent hopefulness. “Fever Breaks” was produced in Nashville by Jason Isbell, and recorded with the backing of Isbell’s band 400 Unit, which lends bluesy guitar and a clear Southern rock accent to Ritter’s newest work. The album was released April 26 as the group is on a national tour.
