The U.S. Supreme Court released its ruling on insurance subsidies in the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare. Chief Justice John Roberts read the majority opinion which upheld the ability for the federal government to offer subsidies for health insurance premiums in states that had not set up their own exchanges. The Oregon agency in charge of subsidies for the state had maintained that Oregonians' subsidies would be safe no matter which way the Court ruled, but the decision today seems to remove any doubt.

The Justices have yet to release their highly anticipated ruling on same-sex marriage. The Supreme Court term traditionally wraps up on June 30 each year.
