Jack Depew met his wife, Mary, 10 years ago at a Klamath Falls sports bar. He was setting up a pool shot when Mary came over to bump his cue on purpose. They were married a few months later. At the start of the pandemic, the couple wasn’t taking coronavirus seriously or wearing masks. Then they both contracted the virus, and Mary died in June. Jack is now on a mission to spread awareness about the importance of wearing masks. He first shared his story with KOBI-TV and the Klamath Falls Herald and News. We talk with Jack Depew about his wife and their experience with coronavirus.
