Three members of Portland’s Citizen Review Committee abruptly resigned recently. The 11-member board is a part of the the city’s complex system of police oversight. And an upcoming ballot measure to overhaul that system may replace the CRC entirely. We talk to Candace Avalos, the chair of the CRC, about where things go from here.
