The agency also announced two new coronavirus-related deaths, bringing the state’s death toll to 673.

The health authority said the influx of new cases reflects continued widespread community transmission of the virus, resulting in small clusters and outbreaks throughout the state.

The bulk of the most recent diagnoses came from the Portland metro area, with 102 in Multnomah County, 107 in Washington County and 62 in Clackamas County.

The Oregon Health Authority is reminding Oregonians of the importance of “staying vigilant” in taking protective measures such as wearing face coverings and practicing social distancing.
