Oregon’s vaccine advisory committee was tasked with creating recommendations for who should be prioritized next in the state’s vaccination roll-out. Last week, the committee finalized its recommendation to Gov. Kate Brown. After health care workers, seniors and educators, the committee recommends the state prioritize four groups: adults 65 and under with underlying health conditions, frontline essential workers, adults and youth in custody 16 years and older, and people living in low income and congregate senior housing. We speak with Oregon Health Authority Public Health Director Rachael Banks about what OHA will do with the recommendations.
