Two men were killed and a third was injured in a shooting in Portland’s Argay Terrace neighborhood early Saturday morning, according to police.
The Portland Police Bureau reported that officers arrived around 1:47 a.m. to find three men who had been shot in the 4400 block of Northeast 131st Place.
Paramedics arrived and pronounced one of the victims dead at the crime scene, police said. Another was taken to a Portland hospital but did not survive his injuries. The third victim was also hospitalized but his injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
Police did not locate a suspect and no arrests have been made as of Saturday morning. The victims were not identified by the bureau.
A homicide investigation is ongoing and no additional details are currently known.
The shooting comes after a deadly 2021 for Portland. By early December, the city had surpassed 80 homicides for the year, an all-time record and a dramatic increase over the 57 homicides in 2020.
