A crash involving a pedestrian on Interstate 84 near the Sandy Boulevard Overpass closed the eastbound lanes of the freeway for several hours Sunday morning.
Eastbound lanes reopened by 11:15 a.m. following the 8:20 a.m. collision. Police say they arrived to find one person dead.
Police have not yet provided information about the people involved in the collision.
The collision caused a nearly 4-mile backup stretching from the Interstate 5 freeway near the Ross Island Bridge to the location of the crash.
