The Bend-La Pine school district announced a contract agreement Tuesday with its teachers’ union, resolving talks that started back in April 2023.

THANKS TO OUR SPONSOR:

The district and the Bend Education Association were on the verge of bringing in a state mediator to help with bargaining before this deal was reached.

The tentative contract includes pay increases of more than 10% over the next two years and a commitment from the district to spend more on health insurance for teachers.

The contract allows for the district and union to meet again in two years to discuss pay and insurance going forward.

Bend-La Pine is still in talks with its classified union.
