A vegetation fire, 2 miles east of Oakridge, Oregon, broke out Thursday afternoon prompting officials to issue Level 3 Go Now! evacuation orders.
The Dunning Road Fire also shut down Highway 58 between Oakridge and Willamette Pass.
Deputies with the Lane County Sheriff’s Office are telling people living along Roberts Ranch Road and Dunning Road in Oakridge to leave their homes immediately.
Officials are warning people that they may not be able to assist residents who choose not to leave.

The city of Oakridge has just over 3,000 residents and is surrounded by the Willamette National Forest. The city has been prone to wildfires in the past.
According to the U.S. Forest Service, the fire is currently 10 acres and is actively spreading.
Crews from the Oregon Department of Forestry and the Oakridge Fire Department have joined the forest service in responding to the fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
