Ray Gill, Jr.

Ray Gill, Jr was born in Chicago, IL but moved to Texas as a child. After graduating from the University of North Texas in 2001, he remained in the college town of Denton where he owned and operated an indie rock club called Hailey's. There, he worked with some of the finest up and coming musicians in the United States, including The Helio Sequence, Blitzen Trapper, STRFKR, St. Vincent, Midlake, and Sarah Jaffe. Gill left the night club business in 2013 and moved to Portland, OR where he writes about new music releases for Oregon Public Broadcasting.
