Sukhjot Sal joined OPB as a digital producer in 2023. She copy edits stories, curates homepage, elevates content across digital platforms and helps produce OPB's First Look newsletter for thousands of subscribers.

In her spare time, she seeks out enterprise stories highlighting businesses, community members and impactful changes in the fast-growing city of Beaverton. You can reach her at ssal@opb.org.

Previously, Sukhjot reported for The Bulletin in Central Oregon, covering politics, crime, business and more through the AAJA-SPJ Emerging Northwest Journalists internship. She also briefly freelanced with Eater Portland. She graduated from Oregon State University in 2023 with an honors bachelor of arts in English and writing, and won several state and national awards for her work in student journalism.
