Porter was arrested last month, several hours after fleeing the scene of the hit-and-run. Police and witnesses say he drove his blue Mazda Tribute SUV onto a sidewalk at PSU, sending three women to the hospital – one suffering from life-threatening injuries, according to court records.

Another victim received a lacerated liver and spleen, court records show. A third victim suffered a fractured leg.

At least one woman has been released from the hospital.

Porter told investigators he didn't know the victims, according to court records.

A witness told investigators that “the vehicle sounded like someone with the gas pedal to the floor.” The same witness was able to take “a burst of photos, and that he watched the vehicle rapidly accelerate.” The witness gave the photos to police, which showed the rear license plate of a blue Mazda Tribute.

The plate is registered to Porter.

Porter's next court appearance is July 17.
