It's possible that the next president will appoint at least one Supreme Court justice. Four out of nine of the current justices are over the age of 75, which is not necessarily an indicator that retirement is in their near future. The oldest justice, Ruth Bader Ginsberg, has said she has no intention of stepping down anytime soon, pointing out that Justice John Paul Stevens didn't retire until he was 90.

There's a lot to consider, from presidential and senate politics to the ideal age and experience of a Supreme Court justice. We discuss the short lists of possible Supreme Court nominees on both sides of the aisle.
