c/o Masha Gessen
Masha Gessen left the Soviet Union as a teenager, and then moved back to Russia after perestroika to work as a journalist. Gessen left Russia again in 2013 when the country passed new anti-LGBTQ laws. Gessen says it’s the things we know about President Trump and Russia that should scare us, not necessarily the things we don’t know.
Gessen is the author of numerous books, including "The Man Without A Face: The Unlikely Rise of Vladimir Putin," and "The Future Is History: How Totalitarianism Reclaimed Russia."
We listen back to an interview with Gessen from 2017.
