OPB
Portland Public Schools is in the process of redrawing the district's boundary lines, which could dramatically alter demographics at some schools.
In July, the citizen advisory committee working on boundary changes released a report (pdf) outlining a framework to guide the process. Balancing enrollment across schools is one of the overall goals and the plan will likely include restructuring many of the districts' K-8 schools to go back to the traditional model of separate elementary and middle schools.
