Remembering Ben Linder | A New Approach To Redistricting | Uber

• On April 28, 1987, Oregonian Ben Linder was working on a small hydroelectric dam in rural Nicaragua when he was killed by the Contras, anti-government forces paid and trained by the U.S. government. John Linder, Ben's older brother, tells us about his brother's life and legacy.

• Secretary of State Dennis Richardson, Oregon's highest ranking Republican, tells us about his new plan for redrawing the boundaries of  state legislative districts. It involves a redistricting commission, a constitutional amendment, and a computer algorithm.

• The ride-hailing company Uber has been in the news recently for all the wrong reasons — from allegations of sexism in the workplace to reports that it wrote software to evade enforcement in Portland and other cities. We talk about all of this with Jill Hazelbaker, a former Oregon political operative who was recently promoted to senior vice president of communications and public policy for the company.
