- The eight children of Verna and Robert Fry were all sent to orphanages or put up for adoption in the 1940s and 1950s. We talk to three of the siblings — Ed Johns, Cele Westlake, and Ron Fry — who met each other for the first time in their 60s. We also talk to the fourth sibling, Donna Henderson, who had a much harder life.
