On Wednesday Nike Oregon Project coach Alberto Salazar released a 28-page statement denying that any of his athletes doped or misused prescription drugs. The statement was in response to allegations printed several weeks ago in ProPublica, and comes the day before one of the running world's biggest events, the USA Track and Field Championships in Eugene.

We talk to the Ken Goe, sports reporter for The Oregonian/Oregonlive.com, about what the mood is like at Hayward Field, and whether conversations about doping are overshadowing the event.
