The Oregon Department of Justice announced Thursday its investigation into a deadly Tigard police shooting has concluded. A grand jury declined to indict officer Gabriel Maldonado for shooting and killing Jacob Macduff on Jan. 6.
Over the next decade, officials warn that hundreds of Oregonians who depend on affordable housing could be priced out as a host of buildings like Woodspring in Tigard become unaffordable for the people living there.
The Tigard police officer who shot and killed Jacob MacDuff on Jan. 6 was hired by the Port of Portland Police Department despite an ongoing criminal investigation. He started work at the agency April 19, but was put on leave after OPB's reporting on the investigation.
