"Art Beat" offers this remembrance of much admired artist Rick Bartow.
Rick Bartow was originally featured on "Oregon Art Beat" in 2004 when this American Indian artist was becoming internationally known for his paintings, prints and carving. He was later honored with a solo show at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian. Bartow's range of work and style often represents transformation in life with bold gestures and articulate lines.
He left behind a striking body of work.
