Cannon Beach is the last place to see tufted puffins in the lower 48, but for how long?

Cannon Beach’s Haystack Rock is renowned not just for its natural beauty, but also because it's the only spot in the contiguous U.S. to see the iconic seabird the tufted puffin from shore. The trouble is, the bird’s population is declining, and that has puffin lovers concerned.
