Many Oregon colleges and universities have released their plans to hold remote and online classes for the lion’s share of their instruction this fall. The University of Oregon and Southern Oregon University say they’ve worked hard to help instructors make their distance learning instruction as engaging and effective as possible. They say they’re also making sure any student gatherings, including the residents of their dorms, are distanced, masked and disinfected. Patrick Phillips, provost and senior vice president of the University of Oregon, and Southern Oregon University provost Sue Walsh join us.
