Long-term care ombudsman on the latest coronavirus restrictions

For residents in long-term care facilities, the realities of COVID-19 have made it very difficult to see their loved ones. While some have been able to visit outdoors, most visitors haven’t been allowed inside facilities for months — except for a brief two-week window — as coronavirus cases continue to surge. We speak with Oregon’s long-term care ombudsman Fred Steele on striking a balance between quality of life and keeping families safe.
