Central Oregon leaders ask for school reopening

A group of 19 Deschutes County elected leaders from across the political spectrum wrote a letter to Gov. Kate Brown last week. The letter asked the governor to allow K-5 elementary schools to reopen in January. Bend Mayor Sally Russell and Councilor-elect Anthony Broadman tell us why they think schools should reopen, even as coronavirus case numbers surge in Oregon.
