Starting Jan. 1, pharmacies in Oregon will be required to provide labels in multiple languages on prescription bottles. One-in-five emergency room visits are due to misunderstanding medication. Advocates for the new law say it will save money and lives. Kristen Beiers-Jones, assistant professor of clinical nursing at OHSU, and Kate Ballard, a pediatric nurse at OHSU, both advocated for the new law.
