More than 24,000 Oregonians applied for assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) after wildfires destroyed their homes in September, 2020. FEMA denied almost two thirds of those requests. We talk with Jefferson Public Radio reporter April Ehrlich about what she’s heard from wildfire survivors, FEMA and legal advocates.
