African immigrants make up the fourth-largest immigrant community in Multnomah County behind Latino, Asian and Slavic immigrants. The Center for African Health & Education provides community workshops, interpretation services and other resources with the goal of reducing health inequities for African immigrants and refugees in the Portland area. We hear more from Mohamed Ali, the center’s director.
