Evacuation levels have been reduced for parts of northern Clark County, Washington after a wildfire broke out Monday morning. The Hidden Meadows Fire ignited in a rural, unincorporated community north of Battle Ground.
The fire, which broke out west of State Route 503 between Hidden Meadows Drive and Mountain View Drive, had grown to about 12 acres by Monday night.
Emergency officials said fire crews worked all day to contain the fire, making significant progress.

Beginning at 6 p.m. today, evacuation levels will be reduced:
Level 3 (GO NOW) → Level 1 (GET READY)
Level 2 (GET SET) → Level 1 (GET READY)

“[Washington’s Department of Natural Resources] aircraft made a significant impact on the fire, and the majority of the fire is now surrounded by bulldozer line,” read a post by the Clark Regional Emergency Services Agency Monday night. “DNR and local fire district crews will remain on scene overnight, working to extinguish remaining hot spots and further secure the fireline.”
As of Monday night, Level 1 “Be Ready” evacuation notices remained in place for some nearby areas and State Route 503 has reopened.
