Ed Levine risked it all to start up the groundbreaking web magazine Serious Eats. Levine is also the creator and host of the Serious Eats podcast, Special Sauce. In 2016, Levine was inducted into the James Beard Foundation’s list of “Who’s Who of Food & Beverage in America.” His recently released memoir is entitled “Serious Eater: A Food Lover’s Perilous Quest for Pizza and Redemption.”

J. Kenji López-Alt, who wrote the forward to that book, is chief culinary consultant at Serious Eats and author of the James Beard Award–winning book, “The Food Lab: Better Home Cooking through Science.”
