Downed power lines also closed Southeast Division Drive in Troutdale and Southeast Dodge Park Boulevard in Gresham.

Gerald Macke with the National Weather Service said winds peaked at about 55 miles per hour, but the worst is over.

"We're really not looking for any significant winds like we had today, with the damaging trees down and power lines and things like that. But we do have another frontal system coming into the area starting Tuesday afternoon. And that'll probably give us another quarter inch of rain," he said.

Portland General Electric said at the peak of the storm damage Monday, about 32,000 customers were without power.

West Diamond Lake Highway east of Roseburg is closed briefly due to about 20 fallen trees from heavy snow.

Columbia County Emergency Management is urging residents to limit travel due to the threat of landslides.
