Washington State's Special Commitment Center Faces New Challenge

The advocacy group Disability Rights Washington has drafted a federal lawsuit claiming mistreatment of some residents at the McNeil Island Special Commitment Center. The residents are supposed to be offered sex offender treatment, but an independent inspection team found that treatment was lacking, especially for those with mental health issues.
