The Riot Grrrl movement was born in the Pacific Northwest in the mid '90's and a new exhibit at the Pacific Northwest College of Art and the Museum of Contemporary Craft brings it back home. Riot Grrrl was a feminist punk rock movement consisting of music and zines and a do-it-yourself, collaborative ethic. The exhibit, named Alien She after a song by the riot grrrl band Bikini Kill, examines the impact of Riot Grrrl on artists still working today.
