• The editor of the Portland Business Journal, Suzanne Stevens, fills us in on some of the latest regional business news.

• If you've heard of Portland Community Media, you may think of it as synonymous with cable access. But the organization is newly reorganized and rebranded with an expanded mission, and it's relaunching this month as Open Signal, as a community media arts organization providing affordable access to the tools of communication in the digital age. We get a tour of the new facilities with Open Signal's executive director Justen Harn, and hear from Tyesha Snow, the director of the community podcasting group now housed at Open Signal, Stream PDX and self-described "podcast evangelist."

• There has been a lot of talk about trade deals lately, but just how much trade does Oregon actually do with foreign countries? And how much do Oregon companies rely on products imported from elsewhere? State economist Josh Lehner walks us through what he knows.

• The superintendent of the North Bend school district has banned students from wearing anything with the Confederate flag on it to school. Jillian Ward, staff reporter at The World, tells us what happened last night at a school board meeting.
